We begin with your needs, body and way of living: what the garment must do, how it should feel and where it will be worn.
Fabric & Form
The material and pattern are selected together. Weight, fall, surface and movement are considered before cutting.
Measurement & Pattern
Measurements become a pattern system, but the body’s balance—not the numbers alone—guides the final structure.
Fitting
The garment is refined through fitting. The body gives the final instruction on proportion, ease and movement.
Finish
Construction, closures, internal finishing and visible details are completed in the atelier.
Continuation
Future alteration, repair and re-sizing can be considered as part of the garment’s long-term relationship with the wearer.
The pattern is not a drawing of the body. It is a decision about how cloth will behave around it.
A few millimetres can change the balance of a shoulder. Fabric fall can alter the correct amount of ease. A garment is therefore refined through observation, not measurement alone.
