The Master
Dervish Collection begins with Derviş Yıldırım. For more than forty years, he has worked as a tailor, learning the language of cloth through fittings, cuts and small adjustments invisible to the outside eye.
His knowledge was not formed through trends. It was formed through repetition, observation and the human body: knowing where a garment must hold its structure, where it must soften, and where a few millimetres can change how a person stands, moves and feels.
The Daughter
Dilan Yıldırım grew up around this quiet practice of making. Over time, she began bringing a different set of questions into the atelier: Where does the fibre come from? How can traditional knowledge meet contemporary life? Can clothing become more adaptable, responsible and connected to its material origins?
The Meeting Point
Dervish Collection exists in the space between these two ways of seeing. The result is a collection of pieces designed not for a single moment, but for movement, transformation and long-term use.
Not Nostalgia
We did not inherit tailoring as nostalgia. We inherited it as a living language.
The Future of Dervish
New collections, material research, personalisation, archive work, made-to-order production, bespoke tailoring and repair extend the atelier’s knowledge into new forms of use.
